Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Yieldhouse collects, why, how long we keep it and the rights you have. We process personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1.Who we are

Yieldhouse (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data processed through yieldhouse.co.uk and the Yieldhouse platform. Our registered company name, number and office will be added here before Yieldhouse opens to customers.

2.What we collect

  • Waitlist sign-ups: your email address and, if you choose, your region of interest and main strategy, plus which page you signed up from.
  • Account details (once accounts open): name, email address, login details and plan.
  • Deal data you give us: addresses, prices, assumptions, notes and portfolio details.
  • Forwarded emails: the portal alert emails you choose to forward to your Yieldhouse address.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, device and the essential cookies needed to keep you signed in.
  • Billing data (once billing opens): handled by our payment provider; we don’t store full card details.

3.How we use it and our lawful bases

  • To provide the service, including scoring deals and running your account: performance of a contract.
  • To tell you when early access opens and send product updates you asked for: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and improve it: our legitimate interests.
  • To introduce you to our broker partner, only when you ask us to: consent.
  • To meet legal and tax obligations: legal obligation.

4.Forwarded alert emails

We process forwarded emails only to extract the property listings they contain. The original email is deleted once it has been processed. Listing details are kept as part of your deal feed until you delete them or close your account.

5.Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who host and run Yieldhouse for us, such as our database and hosting providers, email delivery and payment processors, under contracts that require them to protect it.
  • Our FCA-authorised broker partner, only when you ask us to send them your details or a lender pack.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.

6.How long we keep it

  • Waitlist data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or 24 months after the beta opens.
  • Account and deal data: while your account is open, then deleted within 90 days of closure.
  • Billing records: six years, to meet tax law.

7.Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@yieldhouse.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

8.Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the site and keep you signed in. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

9.Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and, for significant changes, tell account holders by email.
